The 0,3 second WiFi test

Driving outside cities in New Zealand, you will see a familiar type of accommodation - roadside motels.

But one thing they almost all have in common is a promotional stand next to the road, trying to catch the attention of drivers.

Which means they have about 0,3 seconds to communicate something useful.

I noticed something clever.Many of these motels want to say: we have fast WiFi.

But instead of writing “High-Speed Internet”, they simply show the Netflix logo.

That is it. No explanation needed.

Everyone instantly understands: “If I can stream Netflix, the WiFi must be good for a Zoom call.”
